Project One
According To Guru Nanak Knowledge is that which makes us aware of our own Self, world and God. We must have the knowledge of truth and reality. Knowledge enlightens the human mind. Human beings are endowed with the faculty of mind. If it not used, it will be a useless possession for mankind. The lamp of wisdom must be lit to discern effectively truth from untruth, real from unreal. It is said in the Gurbani. “When the lamp is lit, darkness is dispelled. So when one readeth the Vedas, One’s mind must be purged of sin As when the sun riseth, the moon seemeth not, So when wisdom dawns, ignorance remains not.”
